After two and a half months of living in a structured, four-walled room, experiencing a loving home, constant hugs from my dear friends, and a short but meaningful visit from my boys, which are always a gift. It is time to return to the lifestyle with which I fell so much in love.
It's time to regain my confidence in living a nomadic life. At least now I don't have the frantic fear I had at the beginning of last year; now it feels like a re-entry with a silent voice telling me "you can do it." You did it once; you can do it again!
Yes, I can! I am super excited to return to the freedom of the open road.
Before I press the gas pedal, I have a send-off breakfast with my superbly amazing and supportive Pit Crew (this time, we remember to take a group picture).
Eva Marie, Norman, Shari, Mel, Aimee, Mike, Wendy, Amy and Kim Lori, you are the best! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support and love.
Mike, you rock! My deepest gratitude for your time and effort in helping me bring my vision and dream into reality. It was indeed an honor working with you.
Eva Marie and Norman, I have no words to express how both of you enrich my life. Thank you for being YOU!
If I have learned anything in the past year, it is that no matter how breathtaking the view in front of me may be, there is nothing more precious and wonderful than the beauty of love and friendships. I am grateful and honored to have so much love in my life.
What lies ahead for me? Hopefully, warmer temperatures.
Well, I am not planning to repeat last year's journey. Last year was beyond amazing, and that is what it should remain—a memorable and wonderful time in my life.
Now, it is time to create a new journey, one that has no limit of time (I wish I had control over that). But first, I need to listen to all the voices that repeatedly encouraged me to put my writing into a book.
On a side note, I have a title for my book, just as one of you said: the title will find me. And it did!
So, as I travel southwest, I hope to find small, quiet corners where I can sit and write while exploring new places. This time, my map has two folders: one for the places I want to visit and one for the friends I look forward to spending time with.
See you all on the open road!
